Thank you so much to everyone who attended our Zoom AGM on Tuesday 20th October. It was a bit different this year, but great to see so many faces (and the occasional Zoom bomb by cats!).
Despite all the difficulties in holding fundraising events during 2020 we still managed to raise a fantastic amount, all of which has gone straight back into supporting the school community.
A massive thank you to our outgoing Committee who have kept the Friends going and supported the community over the past year.
Your new Committee Members as voted in at the AGM are:

The new Committee will get together soon to set the first Friends meeting date of the year, and this will be shared here, on Facebook, and in the school newsletter. Meetings are open to the whole school community, and everyone is welcome to come along and share ideas or get involved in events and fundraising.
Thank you so much to all those who attended our AGM on the 2nd October. It was a busy meeting with a fantastic turnout to wrap up our best ever year for fundraising.
We're thrilled to announce that our final fundraising total for the year was £18,050! This wouldn't have been possible without the support of the entire school community, particularly our volunteers, school staff, and Friends Committee.
As we close out the 2018/19 year we need to give a massive thank you to our outgoing Committee Members Sarah Griffiths, Hywel Lloyd and Dani Base who have dedicated so much time and effort to events and so much else behind the scenes. Your work has been much appreciated and we couldn't have done it without you.

Last year was a record-breaking year of fundraising for the Friends of St Marys.
Over the course of the 2017-18 school year the Friends raised an amazing £11,164 for the school, figures released at the Friends AGM this week showed. The Christmas Fayre, 5k run were the biggest successes of the year, raising more than £4,000, while the two cake sales and assault course also raised more than £2,000 to help fund class trips.
A huge thanks to all parents who have helped us raise so much money for the school over the past year. The fundraising has allowed us to donate almost the same amount to the school to help fund playground improvements, staff Ipads and sports shirts.
Among the fundraising events planned for the next 12 months are returning successes like the Christmas Fayre and 5k, but also our first ever scarecrow trail which will be taking place over the autumn half term. Find out more about the scarecrow trail.
At the AGM the following people were elected to the committee for the forthcoming year:
Sarah Griffiths - Chair
Danielle Base - Vice Chair
Lynette de Nobriga - Treasurer
Ellen Kirk - Secretary
Hywel Lloyd - Public Secretary
