Last year was a record-breaking year of fundraising for the Friends of St Marys.
Over the course of the 2017-18 school year the Friends raised an amazing £11,164 for the school, figures released at the Friends AGM this week showed. The Christmas Fayre, 5k run were the biggest successes of the year, raising more than £4,000, while the two cake sales and assault course also raised more than £2,000 to help fund class trips. A huge thanks to all parents who have helped us raise so much money for the school over the past year. The fundraising has allowed us to donate almost the same amount to the school to help fund playground improvements, staff Ipads and sports shirts. Among the fundraising events planned for the next 12 months are returning successes like the Christmas Fayre and 5k, but also our first ever scarecrow trail which will be taking place over the autumn half term. Find out more about the scarecrow trail. At the AGM the following people were elected to the committee for the forthcoming year: Sarah Griffiths - Chair Danielle Base - Vice Chair Lynette de Nobriga - Treasurer Ellen Kirk - Secretary Hywel Lloyd - Public Secretary Comments are closed.
